Looking at the abundance of some local fruits, ladies from rural Lautoka communities brought in samples of guava, star apple and vi apple jams. After tasting and testing, the production of these jams was done. Local fruits jams are still trial products and more work is being done to improve the standard and constancy of the product. Fruits were supplied by the local communities and ladies earned money according to the number of jars they produced. Ladies as well as communities benefited from this project by earning some money from the local fruits. Friend's Fiji Style ® jams are available is FRIEND Suva Shop and the monthly ROC market.
