This is a new product that has gone into the market in May 2006. Chilli pickle is made from bongo Chillies and tamarind that is supplied by the farmers from Rakiraki, Tavua and Ba. This product was started by a lady from Saweni, outside Lautoka with a help of three other women. These ladies were able to earn a much needed income for their families by utilizing the natural resources and their skills. Despite being a new product, chilli pickle is quickly gaining popularity in the market along with the other Friend's Fiji Style ® products.
