In trying to meet up with the cost of living, rural Fijian women have taken the initiative to turn their natural talent of weaving into making baskets of different shapes sizes and designs. Friend uses some of these baskets for packaging their products to make it appropriate for the tourist market. Such is the demand that they have tend to work on other products such as fans etc.
